Cape Town Students

Students studying at the University of Cape Town, The Cape Peninsula University of Technology and The University of the Western Cape will love our flights departing to and from Cape Town International Airport. We operate regular student flights from Cape Town to Johannesburg as well as to Durban, Port Elizabeth and East London.

Johannesburg Students

Students at the Wits University, the University of Johannesburg and the University of Pretoria have the choice of flying from either OR Tambo International Airport or from Lanseria International Airport. Student flights depart from OR Tambo to Cape Town, Durban, Port Elizabeth, East London and George. Flights from Lanseria depart to Cape Town and George.

Durban Students

Durban based students can get great student flights to Cape Town, OR Tambo, East London and PE departing daily.

Port Elizabeth, Grahamstown and Alice

Students studying at Rhodes University, Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University and Fort Hare University have the option of student flights departing from either Port Elizabeth or East London, to OR Tambo, Cape Town and Durban.

Getting the Best Fare

There are four golden rules to getting the very best fare.

1. Book as early as possible – book your flights as soon as you know for sure what your term and exam dates are to get the best fares possible.
2. Be flexible – High demand flights sell out fast and get expensive quickly. You can get the best fares if you’re flexible with your travel dates. Mid-week and Saturday flights are often cheaper.
3. Travel Light – at FlySafair you have the option to travel without checked luggage and save. Each passenger gets a free allocation of 7kg of carry-on luggage which includes one small suitcase and another small personal bag like a handbag or slimline laptop case.

Moving into or leaving a residence usually means carrying your whole life back and forth.
